Frýdlant, Czech Republic

Located in the Northern Bohemia, Frýdlant is a small village of about 7,000 people, surrounded by the stunning Jizerské Mountains. The charming main city square is flanked by the gently rolling Smědá River, which continues through the city on its journey into Poland. Overlooking the village is a stunning Gothic Castle built in the 12th century which beckons the visitor to make the short walk to see this jewel of Bohemia. Altogether, this village is a must-see for anyone visiting this lesser known (and best) part of Europe.
